Dr. Woods is originally from San Diego, CA and earned her undergraduate degree in animal science from UT Martin in 2021.
Shortly after she continued on in her education at the University of Tennessee and received her DVM in May of 2025.
Her passion for animals runs deep as she is an avid question and was a division one equestrian athlete during her undergraduate career. Dr. Woods remains passionate about providing exceptional care to her patients and has interests in dentistry, internal medicine, senior pet care and feline specific medicine. She is also Fear Free Certified and enjoys incorporating that into her exams.
She joined Southside Animal Hospital in 2025 and is excited to start her career with this great team! Outside of the hospital she enjoys Charleston’s local shops and eateries, outdoor activities and spending time with her cat, Casper!
